Michael Grebe was born in Ründeroth/Germany in 1956.
He graduated with a Diploma in Industrial Design from the University in Wuppertal in 1986.
He moved back to Gummersbach/Germany after he finished his studies in Wuppertal.
With his degree dissertation – a work-station for dental technicians – he won the award at the Braun-Prize International in 1986, followed by more awards and commendations.
From 1986 until 1993 he managed the design department of a graphics company especially in the wide range of exhibition- and shopdesign.
In 1993 he opened his own studio. From then on until now he develops corporate designs and product designs for international clients.

Paul Schmitz was born in Gummersbach in 1956.
After his studies in visual communications at the Lette-Verein in Berlin and at the Fachhochschule Aachen he worked for seven years as art-director and creative-director with several international advertising agencies.
From 1993 on he acts as freelance designer, photographer and artist.
He is focussed on designs and conceptions eg. for Alain Mikli Eyewear, Volvo Germany, Kiepenheuer und Witsch Publishing etc..
Since 2006 he designs - together with Michael Grebe - interieurs and fireplaces.
His inspirations he gets from his work as photographer and collaboration as artist together with eg. Frank Schätzing (author and musician) and Dirk Sommer (artist).
